Satoyama Retreat Hibiki
This traditional farmhouse offers guests an escape from daily life and a slow-living experience in the Japanese countryside. Additionally, hot spring baths are only a five-minute drive away. You can relax in the natural spring water for just 400 yen. There's also a bathroom on-site too!
Meals are cooked alongside the farmhouse owner using vegetables, herbs, and free-range eggs from local farms. Some of the ingredients are unique to the area, making this an extra-special experience. In addition to cooking, guests can experience planting rice seedlings, foraging mountain herbs, making yuzu jam, dried persimmons, and mochi rice cakes!
If crafts appeal to you, straw-weaving workshops are also available. You won't be lonely during your stay either! The farm is home to some adorable goats!

This publically-run hot spring bathhouse is located on the banks of the Okukuji River, surrounded by the abundant nature of the mountainous area.
There are themed baths according to the season. In autumn, you can soak in a tub filled with floating apples. Alternatively, in May, bathers can soak in sweet-sedge scented waters.
The grounds of the bathhouse also feature a 16 hole golf course.
According to customer requests, the hotel will prepare Japanese-style course meals with Hitachi Wagyu Beef or Okukuji shamo chicken dishes.
