Established in 1716, Raifuku Brewery produces ten varieties of sake using rice suitable for brewing and yeast made from flowers. In addition to their most popular sake, the eponymous Raifuku, the brewery produces sake for export and liqueurs brewed using local ingredients.

Amabiki Kannon Temple

Officially called Amabikisan Rakuho-ji, Amabiki Kannon Temple is dedicated to the goddess of safe childbirth, child-rearing, and protection from bad luck. Amabiki Kannon refers to the statue of the goddess at the temple.
The temple is known for its beautiful grounds, which feature cherry blossoms, peony, azaleas, and hydrangea flowers, depending on the season. Of course, autumn welcomes the sight of striking foliage. There is also a small souvenir shop where you can purchase a memento of your visit.

Ibaraki Nature Museum

Ibaraki Nature Museum is located next to Sugao Marsh, the largest nature conservation area in Ibaraki Prefecture.
The 16-hectare ground is home to the museum and a range of outdoor facilities.
Permanent exhibits showcase the history of planet Earth from prehistoric times, geology, and local flora and fauna from Ibaraki. Visitors can explore the museum then head out to observe some of the exhibits in real-time!
The museum offers free admission on two national holidays: Spring Equinox Day and Greenery Day.

Moka Railway

Japan is famous for its trains, and the Moka Railway is no exception. This historical steam railway is a great way to experience the bygone days of Japan while taking in sweeping views of Ibaraki and Tochigi's countryside.
The railway spans 42 kilometers from Shimodate in Ibaraki Prefecture to Motegi in the neighboring Tochigi Prefecture. Passengers can enjoy a panoramic view aboard the steam locomotive.
