Guesthouse Kominka Eguchiya

Eguchiya Guesthouse is located on the shores of Kasumigaura, Japan's second-largest lake. Guests have the opportunity to stay in a beautifully renovated 150-year-old wooden house, offering stunning lakeside views and traditional Japanese scenery. This guesthouse also holds a rich history, having once operated as a liquor store.

Guests can enjoy rice cooked in an old-fashioned wood furnace, along with fish from Lake Kasumigaura. The facility also offers hands-on activities, such as wood-chopping workshops, pizza-making in a stone oven, and a sausage-making.

With the Tsukuba-Kasumigaura Ring-Ring Road nearby, Eguchiya Guesthouse is an ideal stop for cyclists. Come and experience simple yet homey Japanese culture in a beautiful lakeside setting.

Izura Hotel

Situated near the Rokkakudo on the spectacular Izura Coast, Izura Hotel consists of its main building, the Japanese-style "Honkan," and the annex building "Taikanso." The guest rooms feature designs from the Izaura residence of Okakura Tenshin, a famous Japanese artist.
The main building and annex feature onsen (hot spring) bathing, including Taikan-no-Yu, which offers guests a luxury bathing experience. It is also possible to visit the hot springs as a day trip without staying overnight.
Thanks to its coastal location, Izura Hotel is renowned for its fresh seafood and shellfish dishes. During the winter, anglerfish hotpot is a seasonal specialty.

Kurosawa Einojo Homestay

Get together for a meal around the irori (traditional sunken fireplace), at this guesthouse housed in a old-Japanese style home.
The guesthouse also offers guests the chance to experience the Japanese countryside life - pick your own farm-fresh vegetables and cook a meal together, then tuck in to some freshly baked scones with homemade jam. The propery even has an area for al-fresco dining.

The property features two Japanese-style bedrooms, a 5-person room and a 4-person room. These rooms offer guests the chance to lay out their futon bed on the tatatmi mats before bed - the perfect memory of a trip to Japan. During the Summer months (June - September), there is also space for 4 people to camp below the stars by setting up mosquito nets and camping in the second floor of the barn.

Kashima Central Hotel

There are plenty of in-house dining options, including a Japanese restaurant and Japanese-style Chinese and Western restaurant on the ground floor. A steakhouse and lounge are also located on the 15th floor, offering great views of Kashima’s distinctive skyline.

Isoyamatei Guesthouse

Isoyamatei Guesthouse is a seven-minute walk from Itako Iris Gardens and JR Itako Station and 70 minutes by highway bus from Tokyo Station. The entire property is rented out during the stay, which means there's no sharing with other guests.
Originally built 120 years ago and renovated into a guesthouse, the house belonged to a family in the Suigo Itako area. It is the perfect place to experience how a well-off Japanese family would have lived. Lattice windows, paper lanterns, and classic furniture lend the premise a historic atmosphere. The house is fully equipped with a fridge and kitchen, so you can make the most of local ingredients sold nearby.
When the property is functioning as a guesthouse, it operates as a cafe serving matcha and traditional Japanese sweets.

Mito Keisei Hotel

Mito Keisei Hotel is a three-minute walk from Mito Station, and a four-minute walk from Kodokan, one of Ibaraki’s best-known historical sites. The convenient location makes it perfect for sightseeing or business events. It also makes a great hub for sightseeing around Ibaraki.
There are two in-house restaurants, one serving light meals and the other Japanese-style Chinese food.

Omoide Romankan, Fukuroda Hot Springs

Located near Fukuroda Falls, this luxurious inn is famed for its alkaline hot springs. With a pH of 8.9., the hot springs are said to make skin smoother and better-looking. Guest rooms with private baths are also available.

Honenmansaku Inn Fukuroda Hot Springs

Located near Fukuroda Falls, this hotel promises a serene and comfortable stay enveloped in the lush nature of northern Ibaraki.
Sit back and relax in the natural hot spring flowing with soothing alkaline water. The therapeutic bath is said to aid joint pain and the recovery of certain illnesses.

Yamizo Hot Spring

This publically-run hot spring bathhouse is located on the banks of the Okukuji River, surrounded by the abundant nature of the mountainous area.
There are themed baths according to the season. In autumn, you can soak in a tub filled with floating apples. Alternatively, in May, bathers can soak in sweet-sedge scented waters.
The grounds of the bathhouse also feature a 16 hole golf course.
According to customer requests, the hotel will prepare Japanese-style course meals with Hitachi Wagyu Beef or Okukuji shamo chicken dishes.
