matsuei is a famous sushi restaurant located in Kasama City. The owner, an expert in local seasonal ingredients, combines the abundant produce of Ibaraki Prefecture with culinary skills honed worldwide and the traditions of Edomae sushi to create original “Jobanmae sushi.”

Using fresh ingredients selected that morning at the local market, each piece of sushi is carefully prepared one by one and is simply exquisite. The omakase course (chef's choice), which features appetizers, seasonal dishes, and a full sushi course, allows guests to fully enjoy the flavors of each season. At the comfortable and relaxing counter seats, guests can watch the craftsmanship while enjoying pairings with Japanese sake or shochu.
