Unagi Yasukawa

Ushiku City

Southern Ibaraki

Japanese Food

Unagi Yasukawa is located in Ushiku City, which is considered the birthplace of unadon (eel rice bowl). This long-established eel specialty shop
was founded in 1978 with a history exceeding some 45 years.

At Yasukawa, only carefully selected eels are brought in. First, the eel is steamed to give it a fluffy texture. Then, it undergoes a repeated process of being grilled over an open flame and dipped in a special sauce. This process ensures the eel is thoroughly infused with flavor, giving it a rich taste.

The restaurant offers both tatami seating and standard table seating. This spot is recommended for a relaxing meal while sightseeing in the Ushiku area.
