Kappo Ryokan Shiroyama

Shiroyama, conveniently located near tourist attractions, is a kappo ryokan* renovated from a historic Japanese restaurant. The inn offers a traditional Japanese-style accommodation experience focused on hospitality.

There are eight guest rooms, with six of them decorated in a style inspired by Kyoto culture. All rooms are equipped with private baths and toilets. Free WiFi is also available.
Guests can enjoy exquisite kaiseki cuisine in private dining rooms. There is also a large public bath in the ryokan, overlooking the Japanese garden and filled with fragrant rose petals.

Forest Retreat Guesthouse

The historical city of Kasama is known for Kasama Inari Shrine, one of Japan's three greatest Inari Shrines. Likewise, it is a flourishing pottery center specializing in Kasama-ware.
During the summer, the town is abuzz with local festivals and the sounds of Euterpnosia chibensis, an endangered cicada species designated as a natural heritage. Forest Retreat Guesthouse is a seven-minute drive from central Kasama. The guesthouse's hilltop location and forest surroundings make it ideal for anyone looking to relax and unwind.
From spring to summer, you can hear soothing songs of the Japanese nightingale. On summer days, listen to the crying cicadas at dawn and dusk. Autumn welcomes foliage, while winter is when snow-covered hilltops fill the view. In other words, Forest Retreat is the perfect place to experience the seasonal beauty of the Japanese countryside.

Kurosawa Einojo Homestay

Get together for a meal around the irori (traditional sunken fireplace), at this guesthouse housed in a old-Japanese style home.
The guesthouse also offers guests the chance to experience the Japanese countryside life - pick your own farm-fresh vegetables and cook a meal together, then tuck in to some freshly baked scones with homemade jam. The propery even has an area for al-fresco dining.

The property features two Japanese-style bedrooms, a 5-person room and a 4-person room. These rooms offer guests the chance to lay out their futon bed on the tatatmi mats before bed - the perfect memory of a trip to Japan. During the Summer months (June - September), there is also space for 4 people to camp below the stars by setting up mosquito nets and camping in the second floor of the barn.
