Kasumigaura Doubutsu to Minna no Ie is a facility located on the shore of Lake Kasumigaura in Namegata City. It opened in July 2024 after large-scale renovations and redevelopment of a former public facility.
Here, visitors can not only see the animals but also interact with them. The modern architectural complex is divided into indoor and outdoor areas, where visitors can encounter a variety of animals, including giraffes, alpacas, capybaras, penguins, tortoises, sheep, goats, and sloths.
The surrounding area of the facility also offers various activities throughout the year, including barbecues, shopping for local products, cycling, and camping.

Lapoppo Namegata Farmers Village

Namegata Farmers Village is a park and shop in a renovated school building just an 80-minute drive from Tokyo. The overarching concept at the park is "farm to table." Therefore, visitors can eat, experience, play, and learn about farming at the park's sweet baked potato factory. In addition to shops and restaurants, hands-on farming workshops are available.
By public transport: From JR Itako Station, take a Rokko Kitaura Line bus bound for Aso Onsen. After around 35 minutes, get off at the Lake Eco/Shirahama Shonen Shizen no Ie/Namegata Farmers Village bus stop. Namegata Farmers Village is a minute walk from the bus stop.

Kashima-Nada Seaside Park

This large park is located on the Pacific coast in the coastal city of Hokota.
The park has two areas: the Seashore and Plateau Area. Wander through the pine groves and take in views of the Pacific Ocean in the Seashore Area. Then head to Plateau Area for a light meal and some souvenir shopping at the park restaurant.
